It can be a little difficult to start getting healthy this time of year with all of the holiday food around and not to mention how busy this time of year can get. That doesn’t mean you can’t get starting by making a healthy change though! If you still want to start somewhere try getting active three times a week instead. You will boost your metabolism and be ready to add another positive improvement, such as eating healthier, come New Years. Here are three intro workouts to help you get moving! The cardio workout can be altered to accommodate your favorite cardio machine or even done outdoors if you don’t have access to equipment. You can do these at home or while traveling without any equipment and in very little time. I prefer working out first thing for two main reasons: 1. It is done and you don’t have to think about it for the rest of the day. And 2. I can usually find the energy in the morning but come afternoon or evening that is a whole different story. As always though, find what works best for you and go with it!
Tips:
I would recommend waiting 2-3 days between the cardio and leg workouts.
Try to eat a high protein snack within 30 minutes after your workout.
If possible do your cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
