30 Weeks - 02/06/2014

Jocalyn wanted in on the picture taking :)

We stopped in Flagstaff for the night on the way to New Mexico. So pretty and cold!! Well at least cold when you are used to Vegas weather lol.

I was looking back at bump pictures from my pregnancy with Jocalyn and thought it would be fun to start including them at the same week I’m at now.

Little Cricket is such a good boy and so dang cute! I took him to get groomed before we headed to New Mexico for a few weeks.

How far along?  30 Weeks - 02/06/2014 (Pictures: 30 Weeks 2 Days 02-08-2014)

Outfit: Purple Shirt: Target, Yoga Pants: Victoria’s Secret

Maternity clothes?  I still mostly wear regular clothes mixed with the few pieces of maternity clothes I have and just make them work around the bump. I wear a lot of leggings and jeggings!

Stretch marks?  Nope! I am hoping to get lucky again this pregnancy!
Sleep:  Still thankfully sleeping comfortably!

Best moment this week: Getting to spend time with family
Miss Anything? Nothing in particular this week.

Movement:  She moves so much and so strongly!
Food cravings:  Costco cheese pizza, Orange Juice, and of course as always Kefir and almost anything lemon
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just mostly smelling dishes or trash.

Have you started to show yet:  Yes, definitely. My bump is in full force these days!

Gender:  GIRL!!! We are so happy to have another little princess on the way!
Labor Signs: A bunch of really intense Braxton Hix contractions. I am having to take it easier lately to keep them in check.

Belly Button in or out?  It is definitely out now.

Wedding rings on or off?  On. I kept them on all the way through the last time and I am hoping to do the same this time around.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Just really excited and happy about our baby girl. I won’t lie though… haha I get pretty cranky when I get over tired and hungry.

Looking forward to: April!

Jocalyn:  She is such a smart amazing little lady! We are so proud of her. :)

Hubby: He is our hero. He is busy busy at work. :)

Updates: We are headed to spend time with family while hubby bear is deployed!

Lemon Steak Jerky

4 lbs Beef  (or other meat of your choice) - sliced into thin pieces - I usually use a roast or whatever is on sale for a good price at the store. You can slice the meat yourself but it is a time consuming tricky. Most places will slice it to whatever thickness you like for you at no additional charge if you just ask.

4 parts A-1 Steak Sauce

2 parts lemon Juice

1 part McCormick Montreal Chicken Seasoning

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and marinade meat in the fridge for 4-6 hours.

Dehydrate: Each dehydrator is different so please make sure and check your manual for specific instructions. I noticed the time is going to really depend on how thick the meat is sliced. Ours says that you can tell when the meat is done by bending a piece of jerky. When you bend the jerky it should crack but not break. To accomplish this with our model we set it to 160 degrees for 8-12 hours with thick cut and 4-6 hours with thinner cut meat. I would recommend to check yours every 1-2 hours until you get the hang of how long it takes. You can definitely overcook jerky!

29 Weeks - 01/30/2014

This belly is getting big! 

  

Who doesn’t need a little marker coloring on their hand from a cute toddler anyway? It totally completes the outfit! =p 

I took this picture in my comfys for hubby and as it turns out you can see the belly much better in it than the other ones. 

Little Cricket is such a good boy and so dang cute!

How far along?  29 Weeks - 01/30/2014 (Pictures: 29 Weeks Haha I got confused when I was editing these pictures and added 6 days but it was actually at 29 weeks!) I have been working on finishing the stairway decorations which is where I normally take my pictures. I took them in the smaller mirror on our closet door this week.
